The Titan is the Freerace model in the 2009 Maui Sails lineup. Seven battens and three cams give it plenty of stability, but the narrow luff sleeve makes it lightweight and easy to waterstart or uphaul.

As with all Maui Sails, this sail is well constructed, however the weight is only 6.5kg compared to 7.9kg for the equivalent race sail (TR5), which makes it easier to manoeuvre on or off the water. Pumping onto the plane is especially easy, and most sailors should be able to get planing with this sail in 9-10 knots.

The sail is designed around the Mauisails SRS75 (75% carbon) 520 mast however will also work with the Maui 100% carbon race mast. The sail would also work well on similar 520 (75% or 100%) masts from Severne, Gaastra or Naish.

The sail is in good condition. It would be the perfect sail for someone new to a formula board looking for an easy sail to get going in light winds, or interested in racing. I used this sail for two seasons on the NSW racing tour before recently upgrading to full race gear.

The sail can be inspected in Lake Macquarie/Newcastle, and is available for local pickup. I will also ship interstate if required via Transdirect or similar, at the buyers cost.
