NSWWA Event 1: Illawarra

YOU HAVE TO COMPETE TO WIN!

The NSW Wavesailing Association is excited to announce that we are only a few weeks away from the opening event of the 2010-11 Series. Whether you are looking to improve, compete, win, gain bragging rights or just have a lot of fun with old and new mates the NSW Wavesailing Association Series is for you. With some excellent Series and Event Sponsors on board, evolving competition structure, great opportunities to bag some goodies as well as experience some exciting changes, the 2010-11 Season is looking to be a barnstormer.

And now for the small print:

Please check Seabreeze for the latest news in regards to venue selection and sign on time. Put simply, if the wind is from the North East, head to Gerroa. If the wind is from the South drive to Windang. If a Westerly is on the cards please travel to Port Kembla.

As this is the first event of the season we need to get every competitor signed up, t-shirts allocated (for season members) and heats drawn. Therefore can you all please get the competition site between 9:00 and 10:00. Sign on for the actual competition closes at 10:30 sharp. Again this may change if an early morning Southerly/Westerly is forecast - keep up to date on Seabreeze. We also have some great hoodies to purchase so bring some cash!

The Saturday evening BBQ will be based in Gerroa - exact location will be published at the competition site.

If you don't have access to the internet on Saturday morning please contact Tim Williams, President, on 0409 757 315.

Come on Huey, what have you got?!

MPSC Spring Regatta

Marmong Point Sailing Club extends an invitation to all classes of windsurfers to attend our annual 2010 Spring Regatta. It will be held over the weekend of 18th-19th September.

Registration starts at 10:30am Saturday morning (18th) with the earliest race start 12 noon.

All sailors will need to be a member of an AWA affiliated club for insurance purposes etc. For those not in a club, signup on the day to Marmong SC (or perhaps Stormriders for Sydney based people) will be available.

So come along, dust off the cobwebs and get in some practice before the 2010-2011 Summer season begins! And don't miss the famous Marmong Regatta barbie on Saturday afternoon after racing.

All classes are welcome, from Formula (including FE+) right through to Wallies and Raceboards.

So come and join us at the club, George St, Marmong Point (Lake Macquarie/Newcastle). 1.5 hrs drive North of Hornsby.

More details will be posted here once they are available.

Look forward to seeing you here for a hopefully windy weekend.
