Queensland coral reef fin fish closure starts 13 November
From midnight on Friday 13 November Queenslanders are reminded that all coral reef fin fish will again be off limits due to the coral spawning closure. This will be in place until midnight Wednesday 18 November, a five-day hiatus.

The closure coincides with the new moon period when a large number of coral reef fin fish spawn. The fishing ban helps protect fish through this important part of their life cycle.

Anyone caught with coral reef fin fish over this period will face a $400 on the spot fine.
