Bobryk in the Hood - Wakestyle at its finest

Chris Bobryk sure is a strange fellow at times, but nobody would argue the fact that the guy can kite. Sessioning the Hood River in Oregon like there’s no tomorrow, Bobryk takes a Best TS and Profanity to their limits. If you want to see some incredible freestyle, huge kicker stomps and hilarious little moves that you yourself can try, watch this video.

As you probably know, the Hood River is home to the worlds greatest fully time slider park. On offer 24/7 are a range of expertly built obstacles for kiters to use at their own discretion. In doing so, the wakestyle scene is exploding, with riders in the Hood River undoubtedly leading the world when it comes to this stuff.

Rivaled only by the Real Slider park in Cape Hatteras, which is only rolled out when the Real Team choose, these two locations have been pivotal in shaping the sport of kiteboarding as we know it today. Just think, where would kiting be if it weren’t for the guys in bindings throwing down off huge chunks of plywood and PVC?

Board-offs. That’s where.
