Two Up, One Down. Kiting madness in SA.

These three are up to no good again...
Don’t try this at home. Don’t even try it at the Beach. Don’t try it anywhere. When a movie from the troublesome trio of Kevin Langaree, Nick Jacobsen and Youri Zoon begins with this statement, you know it’s going to be nuts. Rest assured, it is.

When these three are around each other, hilarity always ensues. In this case, it involves using three people, two kites, three bars, and one board. Picture how it works? It’s a bit complicated.

We’ll do our best to explain it as follows: Three kiteboarders are all tied together, with lines around 20m long. The two kiters downwind have kites. The rider upwind has a board. With some synchronicity involved, somehow the two with kites end up mid-air, suspended by the one behind.

Three times 20m, apply a bit of trigonometry, add some drag to the equation and we’d reckon the poor guy at the end of it all is about 40m high at his peak. It’s scary high, but the guys pull the feat off without a hitch.

“We had such a fun time again, like always when those 2 are involved Kevin Langeree and Nick Jacobsen. Can hardly wait for the next project!” Said Youri Zoon after posting the video online.

We hate to think what the next project is going to be! We’re waiting with bated breath…
