Variety Splash '09 - Powered by Watters
'Variety Watters Ball'
Watters Electrical has been named one of the major sponsors of the 2009 Variety Splash a boating event conducted by Variety, the childrens charity after raising $55,000 at its annual Watters Ball.
Since 2001, Watters long-running gala event has doubled as an important fundraiser for a number of worthy charities.
Variety CEO Norm Hutton said the support shown by the Watters Balls sponsors and guests would go a long way towards changing the lives of some of Victorias Special Needs Children.
'On behalf of Variety, Id like to extend a big thank you to everyone at Watters, the events sponsors and all the guests that generously donated items and participated so enthusiastically in the fundraisers,' Mr Hutton said.
'The generosity shown in the silent auction, raffle and numerous games all helped exceed targets and break previous fundraising records.
'These funds will go towards ensuring another successful Splash for Variety next summer.'
The Variety Splash is a leisurely three-day / two-night boat rally circling Port Phillip Bay, interspersed with social events and a good dose of irreverent fun! The second annual Variety Splash will depart Docklands on 26 February 2009.
