Eddy meets Lenny - Sunrise in Maui

The popular breakfast TV show Sunrise is in the Hawaiian Islands this week, and who better to show their weather girl ‘Eddy’ how to stand up paddle board, than Kai Lenny himself!

It was a cloudy and choppy day at Kanaha, also known as the finish point of the world famous ‘Maliko Run’ on Maui. Not the most idea scenario for a first stand up paddle lesson, but hey, it’s breakfast TV – then the camera’s gotta roll, you get out there and make something happen.

Paddling one of the new Naish Glide Touring 11’0’s, Eddy does make it look like hard work, spending more time off, than on the board. But that’s ok! Kai looks a little hard-done-by too, wobbling about on a submerged shortboard.

“Whoa Bro, that was so heavy dude!” Says Eddy in a near perfect Hawaiian accent, taking language lessons from Kai. “Got the lingo, now the lesson,” she says before proceeding to fall off the board left right and centre.

Not bad for a first attempt at stand up paddling, on a cloudy and choppy day at Kanaha. Hats off to Kai for being as cool as he usually is with a camera in his face.
