The Brazilian Takeover is Coming to Sup

Don't worry, we're not talking about waxing. We're talking about some incredible talent coming out of Brazil right now; so with that in mind. It's safe to read on!

Well known in surfing circles, and made very (very!) apparent by the passionate Brazilians in the forums and comment sections of the internet, it the recent emergence of some incredible surfing talent out of South America. The World Surfing League is being slowly taken over, and the skills are transferring across to SUP too!

Check out this video of a local kid from Gauruja, Sao Paulo named Luiz Diniz, who is rocking that tiny little SUP like it's a 5'10" shortboard. Opening with a cracker of an aerial 180, he backs it up with some huge cutbacks and impressive power surfing. He's looking for sponsors, hence the video, and his major goal is to join the Stand Up World Tour. That's right, this kid hasn't even joined the World Tour yet! If his competitive surfing is anywhere near as good as his freesurfing, the pro's better watch out!
