Denel in the Hot Seat

Radical French wave sailor Jules Denel talks us through his spectacular 2011.

2011 was an extremely good year for French slalom and wave sailor Jules Denel (Exocet). After four stunning performances on the PWA wave tour, Denel finished the year in thirteenth position, a massive eight places higher than where he finished in 2010. On the slalom scene Denel was seen charging around the marks at a blistering place allowing him to finish the year in twenty-eighth place.

In this video Denel explains that he has really focused on improving his wave skills, and it has certainly paid off. This season we witnessed Denel pulling some of the most impressive double forward loops of the year as he battled his way through his heats.

In collaboration with Lion Productions, Denel has released this short video, which features him explaining his magnificent year, his many successes and his plans for 2012. Alongside some incredible clips of him sailing on his home break in Wissant, France with some super slow motion backloop clips thrown in for good measure.

Sit back and enjoy the ride HERE.
