PWA freestyler, and windsurf coach, Yoli De Brendt (Fanatic, North) has been recognised for her achievements in 2009 by the Council of Margarita.
On Sunday the 31 January the prize giving for the athletes of the year for the Island of Margarita took place at the University of Margarita in the City of El Valle. For the first time Yoli de Brendt won the prize for best female athlete.
Yoli won every single national windsurf competition she entered in 2009, she finished third at the Fuerteventura World Cup, and was fourth in the overall rankings for PWA women's freestyle. These were all seen as awesome achievements, and reason enough for the Jury to announce Yoli de Brendt as the winner!
