Moreton Bay to host World Raceboard Championships

The only rules are, that all boards must have a centreboard, and there has to be five of them!
The swarms of jellyfish littering Moreton Bay this summer better watch out, they're about to be chopped! Open to all classes of race board with a centreboard, the World Raceboard Championships are being held by the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron at Manly, QLD, and it's timed perfectly to attract hundreds of competitors!

Moreton Bay in summer is a sight to behold, with reliable Seabreeze's blowing in every afternoon up to 20 knots, and light chop covering the whole bay, it's perfect for raceboards. It's also in a prime location, one that's attracted the worlds best sailors for years through the RQYS, Brisbane's premier sailing club.

RS:One's, Bic's and the other more 'niche' classes of raceboard are all welcome, with the only rules being that it has to have a centreboard, and there has to be five of them! Even old Windsurfer One Designs are invited, so if you've got one sitting out in the shed that needs a dust off - get training this winter and you might be the next world champion!

Entry is now open, with charter gear available to overseas entrants. Check out the event page right here on Seabreeze.com.au to see the NOR and entry details.
