A statement of facts; 1) George Greenough was a very early innovator of water cinematography, including the fact that he encased a motion picture camera in a waterproof housing, strapped it to his back, and shot some amazing footage at places like Lennox Head, NSW. 2) Modern Technology took the best part of 40 years to catch up, and sell the concept to the masses via devices like the GoPro 3) George has stated that with photography and cinematography, image quality is secondary to content, provided you have original content... content that nobody else has... This leads me to 4... 4) GoPro (and similar) cameras have saturated us with crappy quality footage, of relatively repetitive content, however there is still the odd diamond in the rough... 5) But I often still watch it anyway!

Yeah old George is a total legend. Had the pleasure of hanging out with him in his pyramid back in the eighties. Check out the contest scene in the movie Windrider, me and George both make an appearance

That's a blast from the past Simondo. She hasn't changed much has she... That was one of my first film jobs, seems like a long time ago now.
