My to reflexion on stupidity of times zones

If there is 1 A.M in London shouldn't be say 4 P.M here or there.

Where is stated that work must starts at 8 AM not 4 PM (new time) ?

One world - One time for ALL

OK technically, I do not propose to lighten suddenly whole world at same time and switch the light off.
We just do start our working day accordingly to sun shine.
Additional advantage that when you say that you do start work at 4PM that describe your position on the globe instantly.
Similarly New Year celebration will start at same time everywhere, Champagne corks pop up all at ones , not whole 24 hours ! Some at night and some in the middle of the day !!

Why should one place's time be more important than another place? It would be crazy for the sun to come up 9pm and to have sunset at 6am or whatever it would entail.

Such an idea would never happen. Hell we can't even get the same time in eastern Australia over summer.

It is already crazy to have Christmas in the middle of hot summer, but it is possible !
If you live whole there it become obvious the sun rise at 9 PM and 12 AM is time to sleep
Every kid know that
No place is more important then other but is different.
Even more.
1AM stands the same at LONDON , SYDNEY , MOON AND MARS SETTLEMENTS even ISS2 spinnig around earth every hour.

You may have the same watch (clock) at birth day till your funeral and don't need to fiddle with clues at all.

sure that it is,
but not implemented as I said...my proposal is not about time standard .. but time unification
same as other units ...seems SI units never replace feet and gallons...

will you be able to setup your alarm clock at 4 PM or rather 16 - to wake up you early in the morning?

the barrier is not technical but cultural and psychological ...

I don't understand what you're on about, it's nonsense.

I sort of approve, our digital set top box has an inbuilt glitch. For timed starts it uses GMT, very confusing having to remember to subtract 8hrs, I've missed the program too many times.

For some people living within the world : contacting people, doing business, even flying turist , trading shares and Forex that is paramount to have precise time for others time measured in moon tides could be sufficient ( go on the beach when tide is high - that is all needed in life)

Wouldn't it be more productive to encourage everyone to use the same units of measurement? IE why do the Americans persist in using quarts, feet, yards, bushels, ounces and so forth. Why the British still measure speed in miles?

Why do we keep measuring speed in knots?

Yeah, what a great idea!

If you live in England, and get used to the sun rising at 7am, and setting at 7pm, and then go on holidays somewhere else...

"what time does the sun rise here? Oh, 5pm? No worries. What time does it set? 5am, ah okay."

That'd be easy to understand!

These people for which time is important might be surprised that the maths involved is quite simple.

These days you can even get "computers" that can tell you what the local time is, in all different places at the same time! Amazing!
