I picked up a Victa Classic Cut with a Briggs and Stratton 4 stroke from Bunnings for $390.
Semi cheap, plastic wheels but does the job.
Dont know what it would be like in the surf?

I'd class mine in the slashing dept more than lawn mowing
was out in 14-15knots with a 10m and 6' tomo surfboard just to unwind on a sunset evening. even managed toe-side a few times.
you really notice the board dragging but no troubles going upwind.
water was 1-2 foot deep with reefs so no room for foils not that I would anyway

how about motorized foils, get going in zero knots (kite may become a drag)
Mowing the lawn is so boring I actually pay someone to do it.
Can't even take any photos - he just goes up and back, not even the odd basic trick.
Tried the Shinnster. It sure doesn't look like much but it rides super smooth. Shuvits, popping it up in the air, going tail first. Such a fun board. Also good at mowing the lawn I suppose if you're in to that.
