I'm off to bali again this year to paraglide in Aug. Last year a few of the days were kitable and I want to take kite gear as well this time (17m + board)

Which airline gives the best international excess baggage rates?

Garuda

Coming back a few years ago I was 30kgs over, they charged me u.s$10...

Probably helped being tired and emotional and causing a scene

Garuda out of Bali are pretty good at throwing all the bags for your group on the scales all at once, can help balance out the heavier bags with those that have a few spare kg's.

Not sure if you know but Air Asia is starting to fly to Sidney.
With 20 AU$ you can take a sport equipment bag up to 20 kilos.
Bye Jankie
