Yarra yarra lakes, 119klm2, takes a bit of decent rain in the region to top it up, I was a bit late getting out there as it's been about 3 weeks since a decent amount fell, I was told that it takes around 4 to 5 days after decent rainfall to start filling, there's a track that runs alongside the lake so access or someone following is covered, also a few other decent smaller lakes close to this also, Get out there

I'm no go-pro hero, but wish I had one to be honest, was a great little session though, really solid wind, would make a great weekend trip for metro flatwater junkies, you've just got to time it right , we get a heap of kiteable easterlies, with winds as solid as our sbreezes, it's the rainfall you need for here, the gauge was at 600 and it wasn't full by any means,

Similar nature
This was taken at Lake Lefroy WA
550 km sq water was ankle to shin deep but hard crystal salt underneath. Did not want to fall of so only made a couple of runs for the camera.

Lake dumbleyung another that looks worthy for the novelty. Wind a bit gusty out there though.

Kited bremer on the north westers Monday, forget how stunning that part of the world is when you don't visit for a while. Sand like talc, torquise crystal shallows, and black water further out that you really don't want to be dragging around off board in
