I often read kiters asking for information on trips overseas but after just coming back from the Australian Kite Surfari in Nth Queensland, where we were kiting from dawn to dusk in 20-25knt winds everyday, I have to say why! I don't know many places where you can go for a for a kite before a breakfast of bacon and eggs, especially on the Goldie where we are from. Ant and his team (Dana) run a very professional operation and cater for everything you could possibly need for a sensational trip. We had downwinders kiting from one glassy cove to the next and were greeted at the end by the infamous argo carrying all the refreshments required to recharge those wasted muscles and do it all again in the afternoon. There were 4 of us on this trip and all vowed to return ASAP. I included a few shots of Ant and the boys below Thanks Ant, love your work!

I'm going in July. There are still a couple spots left for the 10 day trip too.

Sorry to hi-jack the thread but I think Justice shold be paid to this enterprise. Australian Kite Surfari is the best Australian Kite Holiday by far.. I went last year and had a whole story planned out about Ant-the-Man but life got in the way. I still have the article at work and will hunt it to post because I think the man deserves all the credit we can give him and then some. If you have any holidays left, and if you don't make some up, go haed and book with confidence - you will never forget it. I will post a couple of shots to wet your appetite, then go and see the rest of the album on the link below.. Any questions feel free.. http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/sredir?uname=Sir00V&target=ALBUM&id=5469942440538356369&authkey=Gv1sRgCLW_rePF-LGTNA&feat=email Do yourself a favour.. go and come back smiling. The wind blows 24/7.. 4 days there = day 1 & 2 - 7M, day 3 & 4 9M, day 4 late 12M V

By the way... the crocodile warning sign is nowhere near the kiting area.. I just thought it was funny with the 4WD accross the river. The long shot is a composite of 360 degree view of the camp area. Feel free to ask, I've got nothing but positives Disclaimer.. I have no financial interest in the company or any additional reason to pimp apart from the fact that I had a ball and was looked after like a king. And by the way.. I kited until I could kite no more.. Will be back sometime.. that's a promise :) V

We did 08 and 09 and if I didn't have my first baby due in July, I'd be going this year as well. All the rest of the guys who did the trip last time will be booking again. Great trip, great food, great kiting and definitely one of the best trips available. This is the view from the crapper. Could you ask for anything better?
