I wear under my wetsuit a metallic lined wetsuit top like the "Radiator" branded tops and feel it makes a big difference to warmth. I have also thought I might buy a pair of shorts in a similar material. I also hear that the fleecy lined wetsuit tops also help but I have not tried one yet.

get a hoodie, booties and fingerless gloves. a helmet also keeps the warmth in.
We had 25-40 knots today and sideways rain polar blasting from the sw. it was cold indeed. but i was toasty warm

The woolley rashy vest is the best thing I have ever bought. Get one. Also cpgood in summer, just wear that. Yeh hoody is really worth it on those real cold days.

one way of keeping the tootsies and fingers warm is to leave a bowl of water out side over night , then pre session stick your feet in it and your hands for a few minutes , gets the blood flowing and keeps you warmer.

LOL classic moons! We dont feel it over in WA its winter but not super cold is it. Surfed at phillip island last winter, farq me, even the locals were shivering in the water.

I wear a 2 zip xcel wetty, had for a couple of months now. Its great, no water gets in you can fully submerge and no leaks or anything. I have a big thing about going in the water when its cold and this has improved that ten fold.

Without a doubt the poly fleece rashie under your wetty is the G.O.
Way better than an extra mm of neoprene and no wind chill at all when you take your wetty off.
Best thing ever for beating the cold.
Check them out instore anytime.

We're heading for a max temp of 16. Pretty much like living in melb ATM with all this rain!
Side note bout to try out a new Hurley under wettie cotton quick dry contraption today see how she goes!

Wow, you need to HTFU :D
All I wear is a 4/3 full length wetty with just a normal rashie underneath and I'm in Melbourne.
Seriously though, if you really are cold then a good 5/4 wetty, rashie underneath and something for the feet and head. You tend to lose a lot of heat through those. If your hands get numb too then get a good pair of gloves.
One could try thermal undies under the wetty. Should work, in theory.

I kept warm last week wearing a full steamer with a spring suit over the top. However it may get colder so a hot top under the steamer aswell might be a go
|
|
|

I know its kinda obvious but ummm, have you arrr... tried taking a piss in your wettie*
*Disclaimer: Not the recommended technique for dry or semi dry suits

Try the quicksilver wetties.
4.5 on the chest then 4/3 everywhere else. Best wet suit i have ever used.
Also they are making the Neo Goo gloves and booties. You can still feel the board under your feet.
They stitch the booties then dip them in rubber. So they are air tight. I'm trying to get the new wet suits that are dipped in goo
