Hi guys,

After some help if anyone has any advice on this?

I ran out and checked the lengths of my new Cabrinha recoil overdrive 1x bar 2016 (used with a 2016 cab switch blade) before use and all lines appear to be same length, however when went to do an assisted beach launch today the rear line closest to the ground (i think) was really slack compared to the other lines which where at tension. This maid launch extremely awkward to say the least.

Once in the air the line seemed o.k. maybe a little slack compared to front lines but seemed to be ok to control.

I think i was probably a little lite on inflation pressure, would this make a difference? Maybe with the light wind the kite wasnt property shaped.

Anyone have any idea what might be causing the outside lines to be slack once on the kite compared to all in line on the ground Id love to hear your theory.

Cheers.

Slack rear lines whilst the kite is in the ground or being held ready for take off, is common. Don't worry about it. It's slack because the Cabrinha kites have a design suited for those bars, where the back lines are tensioned more once the kite is in full flight mode. Try this, next time you launch get the guy to hold the kite for longer and set yourself up where the canopy stops flapping. Then check the lines. The slackness should not be evident as the kite is fully powered. Does the bar have about 3 finger widths from the top of the chicken loop, under tension on the front lines? If not, then your lines are not even.
