Anything other than to get lost that is!

I have 8 years kiting experience. I prefer foil kites over LEI kites and have had several in my time.
I can teach kiting as well but it's not a personal business or anything, more like to help amigos.
So serious beginners only.. what do you need to know?! What kite to get? Where, how, when to kite?
How to repair? Yep I can do that too.
How to adjust lines and to tune kites. Yep.. I can help there.
Come on.... the forums are too quite.
Lets' roll!

BEGGINERS loftywinds has been laughed out of this forum consistantly since I joined mid last yr. After a while he reappears like nothing ever happened ready to make a fool of his self once again.

Sorry Lofty this is probably a silly question, but… I purchased a second hand kite board off Gumtree and it was advertised as a “twin tip”. Which direction do I ride it as there’s no arrow stamped on it .

I can answer this one.

The answer is a deadman turn.
Throw the kite into a down loop. At the same time slingshot yourself downwind rotating in sync with the kite.
Now the tricky part. When your apparent speed exceeds the wind speed you can drive the kite directly upwind.
If you have enough speed and momentum you can drive the kite right through a full 360.
At one point you are directly down wind and the kite is directly upwind.....
It is O for Awesome!...

Is it possible on the water? maybe on a hydrofoil?

Lofty, do you need a helmet for this kite boarding trick?

what glue do you use to seal of patches on your kites when you sew them up, i did sew up a few tears and rips in my kites but i used contact adhesive and it works great for a few months,
but then slowly the glue starts to come off.
oh and its not a appealing sight, the yellowish orang colour.

I can't believe how easy it is for Lofty to get all the lofty-bashers hammering their key-board.

This topic is too funny.. Good one Lofty, you really did manage to throw a stone among the pigeons.

(Some really funny questions tho')
