Tip # 1
Went to kite yesterday and forgot to check equip a few days before like usual and my quick release on the bar has seized and rusted out( gaastra).maybe if I had washed out salt and sand from last season and a quick WD40 would have saved me frustration and money :)

When was last season and when did this season begin? Ive kites almost every windy day since last october. Your gear should never be left to rust that's sacrilege !!!

Yeah, My season is all year round. just different sizes kites, different boards and different sized swell. In many aspects I prefer winter. Bigger wind, bigger swell, less beach users.

The answer to the question is to rinse off salt water off any stainless part after each ride.
If you are packing up for this weird "off season" thing you speak of. Make sure the stainless parts are rinsed well then dried.
