Hi I did my early stages of learning on big (14 15m) bandits, than I bought a 10m bws and couldnt figure it out for a fair while it just felt so bloody different (ie the bar and the response), Im still learning everytime and am pretty much a kook that doesn't need assistance (yet , touch wood). So I recently bought two liquid force envys 2013 (12 15m) with the depower below the bar, launched today for the first time and was blown away at the difference again. I see why having a certain kite quiver probably a good idea. Any sort of reply on this topic would be good I do say

you have the same kites that I have and yeah massive difference the bws is a bit hard to handle after using the envy for 2 months in lighter winds but now the wind has picked up to around 20 knts the bws has come out of the cupboard and it seemed all over the place for the first couple of runs but once you dial it in it feels realy quick an responsive compared to the envy 15m .imho they r both good kites and tough as nails..below the bar de power on the envy takes a bit to get used to,, been meaning to try the bws bar on the envy as i find the envy bar a bit of a stretch
Absolutley I only had a couple of hrs window to have my first try with the 15m envy the other day and the wind was borderline prob not even worth it at the time, but anyway, so I set it up on the least resistance pigtails for the steer lines at the bar and the wingtips, when flying i had very limited controls so I reset them to shorten the lines which gave me some feel for it! By then I was frustrated the wind was dropping out even more and so was my time, the depower, bar throw/ stopper had me looking like id never been to the beach before, seems you can depower so much you have a long tail hanging down the front of your harness area or go the other way with it so far that youd never get the bar back if you had to let go for a second. Im sure theyll be great after moretime though. Cheers
