hehehe.... did those 2012 kites that are already out get released last year around the same time?..... lets say in 2011?????
lets put it a different way. I buy a new car at the same time. its a new model. i ask for the registration to be for 2013 because its a 2013 car! do you think i get my registration post dated to next year? nope beacuse its a 2012 car. just like the kite buy it in 2012 its a 2012 kite....
thats my hissy fit finished. im done now.

its being advertised as a 2013, so it's a 2013 kite! wah wah wee wah
I just want some sneaky pics of the new C4's.... that is all
Motor cross bikes are the same all of the 2013 bikes should be released within the next couple of months.
Plummet dont get your knickers in a knot this is just the way of the world. If you are happy to walk in to the shop and buy a runout 2012 kite in 2012 and can convince yourself that it is the latest and greatest that the company have to offer you than good for you.
As a consumer we have no influence on the way companies promote and market there gear so if they are advertising it as 2013 than i guess that is what people will be buying.

hehehe. yep i'm just ranting for ranting sake!. and it must be good times if all i can rant about is 2012 kites being call 2013 kites when released in 2012!...
ps yes indeed i am happy to get a run out deal on a current model. These days there is very little difference in performance between the years. a slight colour change and maybe a different inflation method. but really we are only seeing small incremental changes now.

What are the chances that the edge's graphics will be simply transferred over to the C4? Not a fan at this stage
If past trends follow it will be the same design with a new graphic/pattern at the wing tips. I don't mind it so much what I am interested in is the new bar/QR that will be a deal breaker.....

id rather fly a great kite , rather than a great looking kite, ozone imo spend more time on the kites performance rather than the bling, at my age ozones designs suit me fine, hope they bring out a brown and cream kite
hey, i'm buying them whatever the colour. But you can't tell me you're not curious at all as to what they will actually look like?!

Found this on kitethrills:
We have spent the last few weeks riding with the ozone crew (designer Robbie Withall and tester Torrin Bright) who are putting the finishing touches on their new range of reos, C4s, edges and catalysts. The Ozone crew are stoked with the way the new kites perform and we think the new graphics are hot. We will let you know the new gear release date and differences in the new range shortly. Some of the gossip on the new gear:
New C4 has a bigger bottom end which has Torrin frothing.
New catalyst completely re-designed but is still the perfect all round kite for riders into both waves and flatwater. The Catalyst comes with a thicker leading edge improving stability, especially in the small sizes. We think this will really benefit adult riders in strong winds.
The reo has a bold new colour range but it's awesome wave riding characteristics haven' t changed
New edge is now available with a bridal and lines set specifically for racing (to reduce drag). Torrin is off to America to work with Ozone's champion racing team.
We rode the new Zephyr and found it turned faster and smoother but was still super stable.
We had a sneak peak of the megatron push away quick release system which is in its final stage of development. It is sure to please and should be available towards the end of the year and will be completely interchangeable with the existing control bar setup.

Cant wait!! Loving my 2011/2012 C4's.
Thought they would have a complete new bar for this year.
it will be a new bar benchy, it will be all the good things about the old bar, plus improvements and changes.
If you want a complete new bar, go buy a cabrinha complete with useless springs and straps and just looks like **** in general.
Ozone is all about quality and simplicity....not bs parts just to sell mnore kites

What changes to the new bar?
When are the new C4s coming out? Still in 2 minds whether to go for 2012 or 2013. Any major differences?
The 'main' changes will be the bar uprades/improvements and graphics i think.
depends on whether you want the new graphics or not. but think if you rush and get the 2012 u may be kicking yourself later when the 2013 is released

Public release date for the 2013 C4 is October 1st.
Ozone is working on various components for their bars, the first of those to be released will be a new push away style chicken loop release that will be fully compatible with the current 2012 "Contact" bar.
Other components include the bar itself, and the bar ends, these will take more time and development, no firm release date is available for any of the parts.
Ozone will not release any part until it has been thoroughly researched, this includes all their kites.

such a long wait :(
i assume new kites will be compatible with older bars (i have 2011)?

Yes no issue there at all. All Ozone kites are readily available as "kite only", which means you get the kite, backpack, repair pack, but no pump or bar/lines or leash.

is it true they will be more powerful/gruntier? thinking of upgrading from an 11m to a 12m because i ride boots now, but if they give it more grunt i'll stick with the 11's...

When i upgraded from the 2011 to 2012 C4 11m i noticed it had alot better low end and grunt. so if its rumoured they are improving it further youll definately be fine with the 11m

Sneeky Pic of the 2013 c4?
http://www.hanglos.fr/news/295651/news-kitesurf-ozone-c4-2013.html
Will be keen to give them a demo at the first sign that they are available, might be time to upgrade my 2011s.

Nice find! That's jake kelsics kit. I wish they wouldn't use so much white in the canopy
Its a new type of white though, make the kite less white, fly faster and turn sharper! Less than a month now to release!

i thought the new edge looked pretty good, C4 not so much.
i'll be getting 2 anyway :D
Yeah likewise, not totally in love with the new look but won't stop me buying a couple!
Also, looks like the bridle is the same but just two points for bar pressure/turning speed on the tip instead of three.

Another pic of Jake's

Looks good to me, I'll be in the market as soon as the retailers have them for a demo.
