Just looking at buying the 2014 model in this board either the 137 x 43 or the 140 x 42, have seen a couple of comments in the google review bank stating it suffers with spray issues in chop - i.e. copping a face full.

Reviews are limited, so I was hoping to hear from others that have this board and can comment on such an issue before I outlay the cash on it.

Cheers

Yes they do give u a little bit of a wet ride but still is a great board. I now have the limited model which is definitely far superior to the raptor pro

I purchased the Raptor Pro ltd, carbon, 3months ago, I am adsolutely stoked with it.

yeap, a little bit wetter, but the board has awesome pop.

I changed the footpads straight away as I found them quite slippery, straps are great though and easily adjustable on the water.

They are are great looking boards as well.

The only lighter board I've found was other Crazy Fly models... Love my board for freestyle! Only thing that comes close is a Laluz- they are a bit stiffer and a bit heavier.

Raptor Pro rocker is very flat - hence the spray - the tips are always going under water if any chop. You want super flat water for it. I bought it as a lightwind freestyle board because of its lack of rocker and being light, plus I ride on butter flats. I didnt like it in the end. Mainly as I like quite a lot of rocker. LTD has more rocker.

Both ride really well but the LTD does excel in chop more for sure and offers a slightly smoother feel. You'll be happy either way you go though as CF makes incredibly well crafted boards!

I've got myself the 2012/13ish LTD and quite happy with it. Super light (good for public transport), actually not that much spray as we have quite a few chops here at Botany Bay. Can't say much about freestyle performance but I would like to point out that you may or may not loctite your screws. Handle and one footstrap came off while riding. Footstraps in general are comfy but not as nice as e.g. Shinn straps.
