Anyone kiting Frankston Mon or Tuesday?
From Rye and haven't been over that side yet.
Where's the go to place?
Planning to kite Monday about lunch time if all goes well.
There's s few places to launch on Frankston / Seaford beach, guys kite a different spots along the beach, I normally launch at Long Island tennis club. If the winds got much south in it , your best to go to Keast Park in Carrum, but if it's West any where is good
I live in Frankston and am stoked that people kite in Frankston... Good spot, if you guys are out please let me know as I'd be keen to join you. Keast park beach is small (very small) but doable close to the concrete pipeline. That's where sand builds up... Give me a p.m if you decide to head out.
If it has a lot of West in it which it is looking like it will is Frankston a better choice than Gnotuk?
I find Gnotuk a bit sketchy in a strong Westerly.
Not really
ItS all onshore with a lot of wind swell and the gusty, frontal and rainy winds that often come with westerlies.
Can be a lot of fun though
