Not quiet by choice; no money, trying to complete my PhD, job searching and a new baby. Too much fun elsewhere

I wish Laurie would create a Landkiting Forum in Seabreeze.

landkiting is not land yachting.

they did have one but it was barely used and got dropped, but you only need to ask. thats how the lansailing got going
sorry Ive been so quite lately, racing off to perth to be at old mothers bedside, she bounced right back after a couple of days of me twiddling my thumbs in a hospital ward

Looks like a fun way to kill yourself, lands not as forgiving as the water. Also watch out for those buildings.

Nah mate. It's not that bad. I've fallen hard once but on my knees with solid knee pads (not those KMART kiddie ones!). No damage, nothing. And it's hardly happened. Most of the time I land-kite it's been a buzz. Quick and easy setup in under 5 mins, no pumping kites (I use a Speed 3) and no crowds!
I would not recommend it for a beginner, but if you're confident with kite control and loops, you should be fine.

If your planning to play at Lefroy I recommend full body armor and good motorcycle knee guards.

Lefroy Bites!! Ant that's with a buggy

Jeez Sylk, that makes my eyes water. The re-build job is brilliant, better than any landyacht build. Wish my mate could have had the same job done when at 18 he dived into the Capel River 37 years ago and hit bottom. Shattered his neck and left him a complete Quadreplegic - only able to move his head. Spends much more time in hospital recovering from bed sores and bladder/bowel infections than in his wheelchair. Take care GKAWO....you wont always land on you knees.

cut the ally packers for all the new 75mm race wheels on the 5 this week. all rolled and ready to rivet to a huge pile of rims ive been acumulating . got enough packers for 4 wheels, but rims for 10. Im going with Vics version, with an all ally rim as this will save time.sorting out frame as we speak then onto a sexy looking seat. got a few ideas. last event in perth ,the front was lifting a bit high ,so i might make a bit more body at the back this time
then popped out to have a go at a bike race. last yearI turned up for the race with a disloc shoulder and busted ribs, this year got knoked off at thwe 50km mark with grazing and gravel rash. every arm and leg had to pull out as my helmet was shattered and the club has a no helmet no ride rule.im gonna win it next year

Why not just walk in front of a bus Paul. Medicare will pick up the bill and you will not have to fix your bike.
