There will be a Top Hat get together in Lake Macquarie on the 4th & 5th of February 2017.
Exact meeting point is under discussion at this time.
Blue Moon and I, in Seaka, will be sailing down in company from the Camden Haven.
I'd like to come. It's pretty much a yes for me as I've wanted to come there for ages. Only thing is , I'm sailing to Pittwater for oz day to Sunday. Might see if I can leave the boat in Pittwater for a few days rather than sailing back to Syd harbour and then to lake maq

Have a chat to the guys at Careel Bay Marina, they have temp moorings. Not that cheap, but could save you a bit of time and be worth it.
I'm planning to go, but only if Huey plays the game.
Hey NSW, I tried to reply on the Tophat forums, but for some reason I can't stay logged on long enough (using my phone) to reply.
I'm not able to make it due work, so I hope you have a great time.
Where are you guys thinking. That island in middle or that bushy peninsula look good. Lake maq looks.pretty built up on google earth.
Also where are you guys now. Its looking like its gonna be more humid. Wet. Windless weather that weekend.
Bding on autumn. Summer around ere no good.
We will be meeting on Saturday 4th February at 12 noon at Croudace Bay Jetty, 33? 0.263'S and 151? 38.41'E (Pronounced crowd us bay).
Those coming by land we will see you on the Jetty.
Approaching the wharf take care as there have been some changes to the channel.

Huh. Croudace Bay jetty is 5min walk from my place. Pitty I don't have a Top Hat. And "Crowd" is right!!
The new jetty is pretty bad for space and cleats to tie up to. There are usually 2 big stink boats tied to the side 24/7 leaving room for maybe 2 small boats and only room for 3 small or 2 bigger boats out on the end.
12 noon on a Saturday will be like trying to find a car park at a Westfields at Christmas.
CBYC also has a race this Sunday.
Maybe I should get some floating witches hats and bags some spots for you all
Still, any jetty on a stinking hot weekend is going to be chockers.
You have chosen Gods country for your get together.
Hope you all have a great time.
BJR your welcome to drop in(as are any SB'ers), although we might not be there at noon (gone sailing!), but should be there around 4 to 5pm.
cheers for the local knowledge.
In regards to Swansea Channel.
Make sure you keep to the markers and watch your depth readings and look for the darker water. Smaller boats will be fine.
I bought mine in from Gosford just before Xmas at a mid running in tide with no problems. Mine has a 1.5m draft.

Thanks. I might see you there.
This was on a Facebook page I follow blue moon might like it
If 'm not mistaken that's sailing away from Croudace Bay Jetty. I rode up on my bike, had an afternoon on JBear's Swanson and dinner with about 9 Top Hatters in the Bowlo. Was a good night. Didn't stay overnight, as the ride home in the hot Sunday weather wasn't too appealing.
Cheers two dogs.
was a great weekend, good company, good cruising ground.
Nswsailor and Blue Moon currently in Port Stephans waiting for weather to continue Nth.
