Looks like a warranty job to me. Take it back to the shop
Should be fixable in the right hands.

I saw it on TV

It may also be claimable under you car insurance too, similar to towing, the item being towed is covered under car insurance.

Sorry to hear Mark.
IMO fix it yourself and let the kids use it.

Are they going to increase your rates though?

Just take it into a board repair shop and get it fixed should cost around the $180 to $250 mark.
You won't even see the repair if done properly , save yourself some money and remove the deck grip first . before you take it in.

Hey mate, I have had some experience in this aswell, having snapped my previous SUP twice in separate places.
Anyway I used dowel x 3 pushed inside the foam to join together the two pieces. Alignment was not a problem and I reckon I got the rocker pretty close. The biggest drawback I found was the overall increase in weight of the board when the job was completed. Perhaps I over-engineered it, but its hard to estimate how much reinforcement to use when the original surface tension(strength) has been broken.
Hope this helps.

Sure you can put a broken board back together. End result is you have made a heavy board even heavier. Plus, you're going to question yourself if the rocker is right every time you don't make a section.
Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and see this as an opportunity to buy a new board.

The question is what board is next?
I'm 87kg, 178cm/5'10 tall
Stonker custom made (Torquay vic)
Fanatic Allwave 9'5
SB BC Widepoint 8'10 or 9'5
PSH Hull ripper 9'2 or 9'7
Any other suggestions would be good
I pretty much want a board to progress/improve my surfing something that turns sharp in the pocket
I've gone past the stage of trimming and cruising up and down the wave
Cheers

We can always use this as an excuse to go to Torquay and try out some boards Might have to stay the night and visit the Odyssey Brew Bar!!
Pretty sure sailhack will be keen for that also!!
Give Nick at core board sports a yell (will text you the number) and tee up a trial.
PS My boards never going on your ute again

hi mate, ive got the 9.7 hull paddler and also have a 9.6 hull ripper demo board down here in chilly tassie. the hull ripper is the way to go i am 96kegs and been having a blast this week in small waves on the 9.6.
it paddles fast and catches waves no probs and has great glide in the fatter spots.
late drops and hollow waves this board goes even better.
hope this helps your board choice
