G'day Fester, I've had a YOB Osprey for about a year. 8'4" *28 3/4, bought it new as a superseded model 2014 I think. Construction was the basic eps and glass, it has held up well. Didn't like being punched nose first into rock south of Gracetown but nothing does. It came with a five fin set of Shapers fins.
As my first shorter board it has served me well, down from SB Element 9'8". I am now finding the volume a little ponderous, the full rails that help it get up and go in mushy conditions are a little sketchy in more powerful conditions. Keep in mind I am 63kg wet. It paddles in well and has a good turn of speed.
Have recently bought a YOB 50/50 carbon/ glass surf paddle and am stoked with it, good price and always excellent service.

Howdy Fester,

I own a 2015 9'8" x 28 Radar in a bamboo finish. At 90kegs plus rubber it has no dramas accommodating me on a wave and although I'm no shredder, I feel comfortable digging the rail in when I can. It tracks reasonably well for a surf SUP which is good for the longer paddles out to pick the uncrowded peaks. I have bashed the rails a bit, but having said that no more than anyone's higher end boards you see bogged up in the car park. I surf it at my local mainly in waist to head high wave with medium power suited to sup. It's in it's store bought thruster set up and as of yet I haven't felt the need to change it.

Allot of crew ride various YOB's in the south west and the designer Lach is West Oz thru and thru. Best bet is chat to the man and grab a demo. Allot of the r&d goes on "up north" so if your looking for a performance board it's definitely worth including one of their sticks in the consideration pool. As SRat said, good price and excellent service.
