The drama of me Ke Nalu paddle failin had been blown inta obscurity by the cyclonic low sitting over here at Newcastle. Ya could downwind bare poles using your hands to steer! And who putted dat mulberry tree on me truck?

Apparently its heading South .... slowly, winds gusts of up to 57 knots at Merewether, trees down everywhere, roofs off. My neighbour phoned and asked if I had seen his colourbond fence, most of the panels had been blown out and were no where to be seen. The worst is yet to come tonight, its been howling a wind and pissing down rain for over 24 hours straight. The weather gurus have likened it to the strength of a category 2 cyclone.
