http://www.wa.canoe.org.au/site/canoeing/wa/downloads/Avon%20Challenge%20Event%20Info%202012%20current1.pdf "Online Entries close 11:59 pm WST, Tuesday July 31, 2012" It would be a good event to be involved in but with no real training (does a couple of quick strokes to get onto a wave count) and no decent flat water board, I will probably give it a miss.

https://www.registernow.com.au/secure/Register.aspx?ID=6585 Takes you to the registration site. Entries close on the 31st of July. SUPWA will organise a trailer from Garret road - further details closer to event. Stimo you can use your weapon, but unfortunately there will be no prizes.

Guys sorry about this but I have just followed up with the organisers. There is NO UNLIMITED board division for this race. You can only enter the divsions stipulated - 12'6 and 14' for this race unfortunately. I see their point, the first across the line should be a winner from the registered divisions. This is a CWA event, SUPWA events will have the option for open class if there are more than 3 entered. apologies for the confusion from my previous posts. NB - I just checked on the website, there are no entries for the open class - as there isn't a division and I didn't see the names of guys who have open boards.

Pretty sure the 4 who had open boards would not be in the top 5 any way what about I do it on my 8/5 DC channel bottom Is that allowed ? You want sups to get involved so open it to all types of sup at the end of the day 90 % of the people just want the social side lets not loose the direction , As the president of SUPWA could you ask one more time if need be open class starts 500 m behind or 1000m or five min or make a pack and don't cross Finnish line , I know it's not a SUPWA event so it's not your call Be a shame not to let this girl out there Not to mention this one as well

I do feel bad about this Stimo and I take total responsibility for the original misinformation. Just come down on your 14' and have exactly the same fun!... I don't believe you could paddle slow on your weapon! However the point is - these are the only divsions you can enter online on the CWA website and CWA have generously involved us in their race. They have to do all the management, timing and places, so keeping it simple is important (the last Surf series BOP race is a good example where a person is given first, only to have it taken away because they were on the wrong board - we don't want this to happen). When we run our next event SUPWA can take into account multiple divisions for racing, building off our previous event. You can set your girls free then! PM me or email if you need to discuss this further

Had a paddle on the coarse today with Marcus And Galvo had a good tide going out had top speed 15.7 k at some point with average speed of 9.3 good hit out should be a craker , Think parking at the end might be a bit of a nightmare and getting in and out of there might park closer to city and just paddle out of there ,unless Rog can get his boat up there and fill it full of beer . Just want to keep up the good WA training
