Was that filmed in Tallebudgera Creek? I surfed out there one morning and a guy was buzzing everywhere. I was kind of hoping this would happen to him but perhaps a little closer to the rocks....

Inevitable result I reckon, Was out in the water a couple of weeks ago and a guy get thrown out of his tinny trying to get out at the Alley. The tinny must have had a fixed throttle because it just kept going around in a 10 metre circle for about half an hour before the swell finally took it towards the shore. Driver was OK and got picked up by another boat. Had a fleeting thought of paddling over and trying to get the tinny but thought no that would be pretty dumb. A couple of clubbies obviously thought the same as they started to paddle over and stopped short just to watch.

its promotional blurb from a company that sells "boat collars", that aid in stability and help prevent capsizing. http://www.kaptenboatcollar.com/ Apparently doesn't prevent nose to tail flips

That was cool! I was so suprised to see the boat righted itself like my yacht does. Probably even a lot better without the masts, sails and rigging.
