How much Phil? A mate of mine goes every year but he lives in Vicco so don't get to chat to him, just see his pics on Facebook. He rides a goatboat and gets the deepest barrels

I meet him in g-land with his son. Has a bad leg but goes hard in the barrel on his custom board. Lovely guy. I'm thinking doing a sup g-land trip maybe this year or next?see what happens. Been going for thirty years on and off,but not on the sup yet, could be fun.

It's the best way to travel there. Have a good sleep and leave on sun rise, and beat the over land travelers, fresh and ready to surf if pumping. I think it would be sick on a sup.lots of options, kongs on low tide and the rest of the reef on high. Yes please.

I agree, Phil, if you have a bit extra $ go to Bobby's and take the fast boat. I know a few guys who go there every year so give me a call if you want to chat to them.

Went to G-land in 95. Kuta to G-Land the old fashioned way - by bemo. We left Kuta at 11pm and arrived at the old Bobby's at 8am the next morning. Yes, times have changed. Drive to top of Bali, then transport ferry across to Java, more driving then wait 3 hours for the tide to come in then 40 min speedboat to camp. I was talking to a few guys recently that stayed at the new Bobby's - sounds amazing with all the creature comforts. I hear the old Boy's is still there.
