to say this but I seriously believe stand up will be in the Olympic Games one day.I just watched this classic called C1 were you paddle on one knee not unlike stand up but they paddle only on the one side,these guy's were massive in size.
I read a while back here about the same topic and laughed but after seeing this YOUR in soon.

In the photo above Jim caused a bit of a stir a year or so ago by paddling the entire length of the Silver Blade regatta on the one side. He even went as far as developing a fin that was essentially offset to allow him to do this and still paddle in a straight line, I think they call it the 'toe' of the fin.

The Silver Blade regatta is probably the closest thing at the moment to a c1/kayaking race as far as Olympics go. It is on an Olympic course over Olympic distances and something similar will be happening in the not too distant future here in WA!
