coupla photos from the ments a few weeks ago as promised.
leggies got well stretched and I notched up quite a bit of submarine time. duck diving would have been an advantage.

Great photos, how were the waves - many people around... Where did you get your best waves.

Lovely. Kicked my surf jones up a notch, the surf has sucked on the Oregon Coast ever time I've gone this summer.

You might try a waist leash for the submarine stuff. I'm switching over to just waist leashes. You still get dragged, but the underwater time is minimal.

Yes I had a bloody great time, and thanks for the compliments. I'll try and answer the Qs....

I'm still on a high to be sure, finding it a bit hard getting back into it here in the deep south after shorts.

I wasn't on a boat, was at pitstop hill where the boys were onto everything. Boats to the waves unless we surfed anything close by. The pics are of burgers and nipussi, though we surfed quite a few other waves as well, but the photog (john Barton) was in LA winning people's choice at a surf photo contest and didn't arrive til day 4. Gareth, if I post where we got the best waves I won't be allowed back there again. But I do succumb to good beer.

Crowds were ok, though I had to mind my manners much more than my mates on shorties working my way up the pecking order at the crowded spots and make sure I got a few good inside ones first so they could see I wasn't a danger mouse. The standard of surfing surprised me, with quite a lot of average surfers when I was expecting a much higher standard. This might have made it a bit cruisier, there was a lot of smiling going on and even a few hoots for the sup.

Deano, the paddle is the lightest paddle I've ever felt, let alone used. But I'm still trying to wean myself off the old one which has embedded itself in my sup DNA.

All in all a great trip, now I just have to earn enough points for another one....
