Swell jumped overnight to a 4-8 meter SE swell with a 12-16 sec period. It caught me out as have been to slack to fix a busted fin plug in my gun and had to nurse my lightweight 8' 4". There will be some epic sessions in a few spots. South Narra tow ins this morning: Anyone get some smokers?

I heard about that apparently him and Marty (Last SPSC comp winner) went out next to the pool with the dead whale in it and got covered in slippery blubber. http://www.smh.com.au/environment/whale-watch/humpback-whale-washes-up-in-sydney-ocean-pool-20120801-23dy8.html

No so you can paddle in em more easily and have better vision. A lot of the tow guys here now SUP the same waves they used to tow. Big waves = more manageable - on SUP compared to prone IMO.

Totally - and you can paddle the hell out of the impact zone faster, when required.

Had a sick session out the bommie a little cross wind but so fun of the 10,6 gun ripper, first time I have ridden it. So had to learn quick,so smooth on the bigger waves. Just miss Tommy by minutes but when I got to shore I saw him catch a few sick ones on a massive gun,he ripps. Hope the swell holds in for tomorrow. Later freaks

Good to see you got your priorities right. You can study any day of the week - but the swell's not always pumping. OUT THERE GROM.

Respectfully Greg........my definition of a grom is a young guy charging and having a go. Where the hell did you get the impression I was questioning his ability ?

Insane session this morning at my local slab. One of those days where no one wants the set waves, was a like a wave machine, got so smashed but also got the best SUP barrel of my life
