Kristi has had an amazing range of opportunities with the SEDA Group this year and she is loving working with Simon Ford at 4D. Its taken time to earn her stripes, so theres been lots of brooming up the shaping bay, stacking blanks just the way it should be. This morning she was stoked to work on her first short board under Simon's close guidance. Whilst Kristi won't be shaping a SUP just yet, she is in the process of designing and shaping her first traditional log. The idea is to go old school, lots of weight, hips way back something you can stall out, lock in the tail, step to the nose and fly. What an awesome experience.

Awesome pic Phill, certainly captures the moment Don't pump Fordies tyres enough on this forum but he is one of the most approachable blokes in the business. He also makes a bloody good board and or custom SUP. Should be one or two more than just mine floating around the Nationals this year. Cheers Sparx

Sparks, Simon goes out of his way to support local industry initiatives like SEDA and he's a really nice guy. He had no hesitation in taking Kristi on and giving her a go and was stoked to share his enthusiasm. In the time she has invested at 4D she has met many of the major industry players who have come in to get volume orders done, they are all pretty intrigued that she is so young and pursing SUP with such passion. Its has given her a much more rounded view of business practice in the industry and has provided additional opportunities down the track.

Hey Mac when Kristi is done with her log, I am looking forward to blowing the dust off one of mine and we are gonna hit the soup. It won't be pretty but hell we are gonna have some serious fun. Cyberhusky lovin your work, if I shaped a sup thats probably what it would end up looking like
