Just been up to Deadies...its huge and unsurfable. South Styene being washed away on king tide. When wind turns and it settles they'll be some great options.... bearing in mind the water will be filthy!

Were you out there Smash1 ? What time?

I came in around 9am and about 30mins later I saw what I thought was a large, black seal breach behind Deadmans. About 10 metres South of the peak.

Two hours later I heard reports from two blokes who came straight in after seeing a great white. Perhaps I saw that shark breaching? I did think it looked weird but was so busy watching 15 foot Deadmans I quickly forgot it.

Very very sharkie conditions indeed!!

Went out to the Bower early this morning on the 12' Atlantis Venom Gun- absolutely going off and the Venom was THE board for the conditions!! The bomb sets were huge and breaking across the bay. Breathed a sigh of relief as my feet hit the beach when I finally came in. Another SUPer came out but lost his paddle.

Yeah, that was me that lost my paddle. A photographer said it got washed in to Shelly Beach and two old ducks picked it up and walked up the stairs with it, never to be seen again. I was only five minutes paddling in.

Bower was pretty epic early, before the n/w got into it. Clean 15 footers. Queensie did look better and bigger. What a day. Those beautiful, big, surreal swells.

Don't mean to sound like a prat, just that those photos of the bommie were 10-12 tops and it pulls in a lot more swell than deadmans, winki or the bower sections. I could well be horribly wrong, but I lived there for a few years....
