Nice looking board Lacey. Are you going to fill us in on some stats and when is the maiden voyage? No step rail either.

board features massive nose concave with a thin tip, flat deck, chambered rail and hp thin tail. the nose takes a bit of getting used to and dale told me this would be the case went out tonite at the alley 3 to 4 ft low tide glassy- very much suited to shortboards. didn't get a lot of waves- old leggie broke at the board end, tied that up then the leg end broke so more swimming than surfing and was over finned with the s9 side fins very fast speedy board with a shortboard rail feel. i would have no second thoughts about going for barrels on this board - the feel and hold is so positive. i can't say that about most sups i've surfed

Awesome shape. Was this one specifically for good waves Lacey? Looks like you could turn pretty hard at speed which I am finding difficult on my current board.

What is the effect of the concave nose? I've been thinking about what I want as a good wave board and I think your onto something here. Spent almost three hours trying to come out of the barrels at Kirra today and I am sure a board like this would have come in handy. Maybe a touch of talent would have helped as well.

stimo, a couple of shots of the 14' racer dw board. washed off, reading for final coat, final sanding and painted tomorrow night. i asked rounder rails and bit less tail rocker then the other one. minor personal tweaks

I'm noticing a fuller nose and a rounded tail. I could be wrong as it may be the photo.

Everytime I see a DC it reminds of the time, just over a year ago, when I walked into a SUP shop along GC Hwy (which I now know was Greenline) and asked the guy "What does DC stand for ?". I was on a short family holiday and had only been SUPing for a month. Love the GC and now saving for a DC14.

I've only ever owned DC SUPs and am very happy to have supported Dale, as a local designer, over the years. It's amazing how Dales shapes have evolved over the years. Here are 2 pics of my 2008 and 2010 DW models that show a bit of that evolution. This new 2012 design looks a whole lot different to where we have come from. Its great to see evolution continue. Hopefully I will get a spin on this new one soon to see how it performs for myself.
