Hi I am looking at a new longboard for myself here, I have seen a laguna bay single fin But.... Its 9'6 My question is do these singles come in a 9ft or just the 9'6 being a nose rider? I looked on the site but i only see the 9'6 in the same dimentions at 9'6 x 23 x 3 i think it was. I am not sure with laguna bay shapes, But at 85kg i presume the style and shape of this stick is not to much board for the surfer weight I ride a waldon magic 9'0 now and its great but i am gravitating to a single fin

One things for sure, at your weight on that board, you're sure going to catch some waves. If it's a nose rider you're probably going to be doing a different style of riding compared to the Walden so the length is not so much a factor. You will want to move around a lot more and do big deliberate turns off the tail with all the front of the board rearing its head out in front of you, then moving up quickly to trim and do it all over again in the opposite direction. Is that the type of riding you want to move towards? Or do you think you'll always be a hotdogger who prefers the shorter style? Keep in mind that these thoughts are coming from someone who can only do these things in his dreams

I'm a fan of side bites.... for me, they just stay in there all the time.... Come and hang in the Longboard Room a bit more BP. Distinct lack of grumpy old men in here, on comparison to the SUP room.

The above board i think has 50/50 rails I THINK You guys would know more about this shape than me. Took it out and loved it, stable and turns nice off the tail, I was thinking it would be a hard one to get use to being a little more traditional in style but was great Question, i want to change out the factory fin for something else?? Looking at fcs woody clasic but im thinking 9.75 ?? board is 9'6

yes, good looking fin. Looks like a hatchet for most if it other than that sweep back at the top and that little cutaway. I reckon you would never need more that 9.5 inches of fin but a quarter of an inch isn't going to make a scrap of difference either way.

Boarder Paul I just took a few snaps of my boards with the different fins and rails ect. I'll get them loaded up and you can have a look at them. That board you got looks like a noserider shape.

Couple of nice lookers there vanders The swell backed off so hit mate and give us another report. That Astro is nice and you can see the quality just at a glance. Looking for something a little wild on the tint lads doggie that outer shape would also be nice on a 7.6 as you said.

The Cooperfish site has some pretty nice tints. A nice tint with a pigment overlay can look good too.

There was a an NR2 with a smoke tint with a blue pigment nose on the 6 ounce site that looks pretty nice. Lots of dollars though.

That would be the one - the tints are where the prices go up, if you go sans tint(s) their less but where's the point in getting a board like that and not tinting it
