OK boys, I'm getting a Sumo.
Which shade of Blue should I go for?
I think I will go for a 7'10. I actually really like the glide that the longer boards give you.
I have 3 options;
- Sunset
- Blue Hawaii
- Royal Blue Deck, and Light Blue Inlay on the bottom, and fin patch.
Decal will be "Rincon '68", not Sumo. Should I go for Splayed Stringers?

Here's Sunset... But maybe 1 foot of Red at "Rear End", and 1/2 foot of orangey-yellow, and in bleed tints.

|
|
|
Splayed stringers and the corio bay Navy Blue with milk or white hoops
|
|
|
Splayed stringers... Suited to square tails?

|
|
|
Splayed stringer for sure....
This looks good 2 IMO

go the triple stringer to break the tail up a little

I love this tint more SP!

If you go a splayed stringer, maybe start close together in the tail and run them out a few inches from the nose, saw a outer islands like this and it looked cool, Ill try and find a photo.

Blue Hawaii Tints...

One thing is for sure...
"Boobie Cut" on the Fin Patch. My Gun has Boobie Cut, but my Egg has Straight Cut!!
 Classic!
Probably better described as Bikini Cut!

Outer Islands usually splays the tail. So no stringer through the tail, as a flex tail...
|
|
|
too many choices grom man i like sp idea with the stringer. also you could not go wrong with any of those colour combos as a tint...go completley different and get it in a fabric inlay

I know what you mean, like this
But no, they went the other way, wider in the nose, maybe the blank was flipped.
I like the Keyo tint, was that yours?

I've always like the fabric wrap on this board, the board I rode when I beat Mac in the 9'6 Single Fin World Championships!
Mine;

Mac rode this beauty!

The Black Stripe - we also called it "The Sunset Eclipse".

Good calls from Pup & Mac!
Also, Asea's EvoII is going strong! I love it!
I've said this before... if I ever snap it, I'll order another one the minute I get home! OK, it might take me 30 minutes to decide on the tints. But it's an automatic re-order! Doubt I will snap it, but there's some power in the waves down here... You never know.
