I've been thinking about buying a new shortboard lately, window shopping mostly given I'm pretty broke unless I sell a board.

I was gonna post one of these the other day & then the other board reminded me.

Check out these boards, I'd prefer one of these to the $1.5 mill canoe any day

Ones just about a bargain & the other just about worth the asking price considering the great condition & how good it would look on the wall

I'd go & grab that $250 board if I wasn't so broke atm

I can understand why you would want to hang that classic kiwi single fin and display it for all the world to see But then if you are riding the laser zap just remember that most people of that era reckon that board is the reason CH did not win a world title!!! Happy hunting.

Well I suppose beauty is in the eye of the beholder..but that Gumtree board isn't really a looker as a hanger...and a Kiwi board..Pffffft.

The Zap is overpriced but a beauty ...keep saving your $$ and keep lookin'...they just seem to appear

A lazor zap was the sole reason I became a kneelo. I grew up on a super sucky local that I learnt to surf on a mat, then had a year or so on a sponge before "progressing" to a zap. Ate $hit constantly on that pig of a thing for months on end all the while watching my bro getting mindlessly shacked on his kneelo. Eventually I succumbed and had a crack at his kneelo, took off, made the drop, got shacked. Again and again and again.
Tried riding the zap as a kneelo, ate $hit. Even if you made the drop the foam ball would pick you up and send you over the falls. Sold the prick of a thing and got a kneelo.
I reckon Cheyne could've done a Slater if he wasn't such a stubborn prick. Must've been an absolute genius to ride those poo barges the way he did.

Yeah totally agree on Horan doing a lot better on one of the thruster sticks of the time, but its still a cool looking board & in great nick. The $250 board would be pretty easy to tidy up I reckon, I like the look of it

The swirly one was one of Marc's own boards, I bought it off him maybe 10 years ago. Was a good stick but needed a bit of juice. Had glass ons and a box I think, so you might need to move the side fins back an inch or two for a fush. I sold it when I moved back from the Rock I think or maybe it was when I started moving my quiver over to compsands, cant recall. It was on gumtree the other day for $175 so he's obviously keen to move it on.

Don't get me wrong, fat arse boards have their place, it's just not in grinding, spitting pits. Well, not for me at any rate.
I've got a couple of wide point back boards in my quiver and I wouldn't part with either, they just go so well in waves that don't grind. Like butter in a hot pan. Soon as it starts getting hollow though they're sketchy as hell.
