"where did u attemp to surf thread" <- LOL ...

Had a few waist high clean fun ones on the log with me & a young girl I was giving a few pointers...the most fun was seeing her enjoying the waves & was funny seeing her pull back on the freak chest high sets like it was uber knarly. I didn't say anything...but yeah made the surf a lot more fun

Great, now to go home and pack some larger fins maybe

Honestly I'm looking forward to getting their, but i will say i hate going new places for the first time, my OCD is running into overdrive and i just cant settle it

I just hope i wake up Sunday morning, run out to the point and get some nice decent rides all the way back to the house, thats what I'm expecting, wanting.. I have no idea though..

Looking at the forecast you will have a super time. Just forget about the crowd factor and enjoy. Something I can never do !

Yes it has Tux. Arrived at weekend destination this evening with 45 mins of sunlight left and huge thunderstorms. Managed to sneak out and get 6 fun waves. Would have been more but with the decreasing light and huge down pours I kept mis reading where I needed to be. Dam beachies

Good advice LL. I just don't have a board for the conditions. I have tried the Nano a few times in marginal stuff and it just does not cut the mustard. Been searching for a second hand small wave machine but come up short so far. Still looking. Should have just got a new one on day one and got the Monies worth. The longer I leave it the harder it gets to justify.

Been back since Dec 29 and had less than 10 surfs. 3 have been good. Been to the beach a fair bit but did not bother - crowds and conditions. Done a fair bit of driving looking for waves. Just one of those things lately - when I am flat out the waves are good and plentiful and when I am not they are not there for the taking. Jan has never been a good month for me over here - like to wait till everyone goes back to work and school. I always encourage people to take lots of leave in Jan so I have to be on the tools and working - harder to get annoyed then. It's great at work as enough of the staff have kids these days and want to take leave through the school holidays - perfect ! Means I can always get the leave I want / desire.

Oh well that's the way it goes sometimes so can not complain. March, April and May are looking pretty good at the moment so happy to do the hard yards

I thought the nano was the go on marginal surf and the evo in the good stuff. Grab any board and get out there , the surf you bail on is a missed opportunity I'm getting less fussy with age ??

According to swellnet the swell is meant to hang around into the week so I'll surf all week . Don't usually bother much with weekends and I'm on night shift anyway

The Sunny coast has a few solid lumps coming through.
The northern end seems slightly bigger
Was a little wonky on the high tide but still pretty good.
Got out and had a dig on a beachy near an Island solid 4' with the odd 6' bombs coming through.
Should be better in a day or too when things settle a bit.

couldn't run today so I rode to snapper and back.

some very solid fast moving 4 to 5 ft waves there and at the alley.

with the devils winds on it looks dangerous.

of course I would have been out there in a flash

Yeah pretty crook. There were some beautiful waves around today but as usual and the crowds were full on.

I managed to snag a reasonable parking spot so did the long walk and checked out the activity On all the points. I won't tell you which one was going off but if you walk a long way you will know.

I am out for up to six months, but will not know for sure until after specialist visit on Feb 8.

ET.
