Seriously I gotta laugh. Cool old skool cinematic shoots. Retro motors tarted up and they have all you guys eating out of their hands.

Stop living in their dreams and start on your own.

Hell, even just try walking up your own beach one late afternoon.

Lana del rey has lot to answer for.

Thanks for finding that one cobra

Just what we need. Three more Hipsters without leg ropes in Noosa.

I think I may be slightly jealous. Just slightly.

lacey bikes have been chopped since WWII nothing "new" sorry to disappoint.

i did like the surfing and the footage.

but hell you blokes are hard to impress hey i find the same old surf cutback after cutback smash the lip after smash the lip, like a paint drying experience.

i watched a movie the other day about a bunch of young blokes travailing down to the bottom of mexico skating surfing getting drunk living life and riding hogs.

i thought it was a fantastic flick. don't bother i won't share

but if you have better input into the longroom please share.

or just continue your days of our our life drama thread of whats your next 287th board going to be and ill go back to sleep

BTW im too old to be cool and as for walking along my local Haha try surfing out of your postcode

I'm with you on surfing out of your postcode. The road trip has been a constant part of my surf experience. I am planning three in December/January. 600kms to one, 700 to another another and 800 to the last.Variety in waves is a good thing I reckon. All should be uncrowded. Two have the potential to be world class.

With the amount of waves within three hours south of the Goldie it seems a lot of Greenroom boys need to get out more.

The vids gone unfortunately. I would have liked to see it.

I'm over due for a surf trip, will havta do one soon...I like that vid Weiry, pretty sure I've seem that other one you mention too.

Esperence has quite a few very nice surf spots out of town. Just gotta be cautious of Mr Grey suit in the great Southern. Mate showed me a pic of his trip there last year with his mate surfing & a huge shark in the wall of the wave they didn't realize was there, luckily. I'd recommend exploring the whole stretch between Walpole & Esperence. Epic coastline, so many empty surf breaks even in the summer school holidays. Kind of places locals walk up & ask if your going out coz they want someone to surf with...everything is very remote, hours between towns you'll miss if you blink.

Walpole to Bremer can be inconsistent. Hopetoun to Cape Arid on the other hand...

Yep and synoptic charts.
you actually had to know what the weather would do and remember what it would do to each spot..

Mark Warrens surf guide was also a must have on the road.

Still is. Its more reliable than a lot of websites where every 15 year old ferret reckons their local rock is a regional classic.

Yeah but your not chasing juice on a LB, I don't think Cobra's gonna be surfing those sucky short board reefies, He'd be more interested in those protected beachies I reckon. I took a HP LB down there January 2014 & had a ball. Really good to have when the winds cross shore on the open stretch swell magnets...plenty of juice between Hopetoun & Walpole too really. A couple of places I like surfing your hoping for no swell so they're only headn1/2 super sucky fun. Predominantly meant to be booger waves, but so fun on a short rockered board...I have family down there, they're boogers, but I still love them

I've got Mark Warren's book too...bought it when I was like 14 & was good to have when we travelled from Marg's to Apollo Bay in '96. Its got a cool pic of a school mate that was in a lot of my classes in Primary school doing a floater at Jakes

I've had some ridiculous bad luck with cameras & media storage the last couple of years. I know the feeling...

Not buying any new boards next year (maybe 2nd handy or 2 )...but gonna have to buy a couple of new cameras, don't even own a camera right now which is ridiculous for me. But just can't see the point of rushing out & buying one this time of year unless I see a great deal which won't happen before Chrissy/year end.
