Heading to g-land in 5 weeks . Haven't surfed there before and was thinking of taking a 6"0 6"6 and 7"2 pintail.
Any advice would be great don't want to be undergunned pulling in

Quiver sounds good...just hope you don't get the June 27th swell when your heading off from Bali. This was the second of 2 waves to beak over the G-land Express, I was stuck on the beach trying to find a boat to Airport rights at 6AM & almost forgot I had a camera on me.. I did end up finding a boat, but unfortunately these guys had to head in with broken windows & injured passengers...The camera I captured this died at AP rights when I duckdived a wide bomb, guess it was more than 1.5m high

Bad luck. Queen of the sea will drown you if you wear green.

The locals believe that green is the favourite colour of the queen of the southern seas, and she has been known to take the lives of surfers wearing green to be her slaves forever.

Indos are incredibly spiritual and superstitious people. It's a good idea to avoid tempting fate and leave the green gear at home.

I went earlier this year, love the place.

My advice would be to always take the walk up the point and paddle out the key hole. It is still pretty easy if its big. You can surf your way down and sit where the crowd isn't. If you paddle out from the camps, the sweep can be strong and its a long way back up.

Go out as soon as the morning sickness shows signs of wearing off. You can easy get an hour before the crew decide its gone clean, get ready and then get out there.

Don't be scared of low tide. Had some great surfs with low numbers, due to a lot of people thinking you can't surf low tide. Just stay up the point.

If it gets small, go surf Kongs. Still better than any wave you will get in Perth.

Your quiver sounds like your covered for anything. Have a good trip.

If taking three board take two similar ones (u will break one) and a gun if that's what you really want. Heaps of blokes surfing 6'1's these days when it's double overhead. People laugh when I take my 6'10" out. Realistically you will surf it a few times max and your shorter board will get the runs so back your fav one up. Check swell forecast befor you go - reasonably accurate for those swells about 7 - 8 days out n them make the call

I usually run with your method when I travel indo kiwi, but from what I've heard g-land is more about down the line barrels instead of thrashing the lip . Im on my backhand so I thinking I rather surf longer boards with more volume than be stuck with two short boards if I snap my big one . Some sound advice and here guys cheers
