Time for a new stick, narrowing it down to want a 66 or maybe 65 depending on litre age.

That lost puddle jumper looks pretty slick but may have to go 65
Firewire something or other don't know but like firewire.
I know a custom from a local guy is always good but I'm aiming for off the rack walk in pay walk out... Anyone got any new sticks lately off the rack
I'm aiming for off the rack walk in pay walk out...
Never again for me! I'm sooooooo stoked on my latest custom. I don't know if I'll ever need to replace it, as it is a tough mo-fo, but if I do, I know the wait will be worth it.

More info please - show us ya custom
Rode a mates puddle jumper. loved it. It was smaller than I would get for myself but still awesome. I like the full isn template.
you can't go past a custom, if you know what you want, if you don't may take a board or two to get it but you'll develop that relationship with your shaper, and live happily ever after.

Narrowed it down to three completely different boards plus an entire brand.
To be more specific,my last two customs were off oceanline. Both excellent excellent boards,
I feel though that cause they are both epic boards i ride them the same in similair waves.
Id like to buy something that will push my surfing a bit and want to see it prior to buying it.
The lost piddle jumper gets me pretty excited or anything by biolis.
Same as the firewire, have jad a few of dan.thomsons boards and love them.
Why the rusty??? Well havent had a rusty for ten years, they used to be made in perth, not sure anymore but surely they are tried and proven.
Want a board that when i ride and snap it eventually i can go in and get another

Nup. Sorry.
I have timbertek firewire unibrow 6 6
love it
but I am a bit long in the tooth and need a 40litre board
ride it as a quad and it goes great in anything I will tackle these days
4-5' tombies my ideal wave,
durable and looks the bomb

Do you mean a JS Blak Box?
The Rusty Traveller and Lost PJ are two totally different boards - its like a ferrari and a go-kart. You're Traveller is a go-to indo board, something you pack in your quiver when you're chasing a big swell and can't fit your regular rhino chaser in your board bag!
The Puddle Jumper is a groveller, somthing to keep you interested during the summer when decent waves seem a distant memory.
The blak box sits somewhere between the two, but it will struggle in tiny waves and probably won't be much use once you're surfing anything much over head height.
I have a 6'10 traveller I'm selling (36litres) if interested (great condition) but sounds like it's bigger then your looking for
Rusty slayer is a good allrounder little bit fuller under the chest than the traveller but with a nice pulled in tail, ill definately get another when this one dies.if youre surfing more reef break type waves the traveller might be the go but for beachies the slayer is great
What about 6'6 PyzAlien by FW ? Can someone comment ?
Seen it on a rack at my local shop. I think I want one.

Ahhhh cheers bolgo will check it out,im a bit of a wide fella at 100kg so 40 litres is required, been riding a few quads so may be what im looking for.
And yeah the pyz firewires do look epic, would like to do litreage comparison.
Regarding go kart ferrari i want a board that does both hahahaha but serious im more searching for a down the line proper wave board........cheers fellas
Hard choice you've got there mate. The puddle jumper is a great board but it might not suit if you're looking for a 6'5-6. My brother has one and is the same height and weight as me (6'5 and 90ish kg) and ride it at 5'8 (36.8L). I'd imagine a 6'5, if they are available in that size would be a bit of a boat. If you like biolos stuff check out the ...lost Round Up. I was looking at one a while ago at about 6'5 but ended up going with a custom. Very nice board and should suit what you are wanting
Get yourself a Channel Islands Black Beauty....I love mine
Have they got alot of rocker in them?
Hey Razz, I've just got myself a Lost v3 Rocket............... bloody love it!!! Goes in anything from waist to head and a half. I've not been out in anything bigger than that.

Nope just the right amount super hard edge along the the bottom of the rail front to back = maximum speed....mines a 7'0 and its good and I mean real good when the conditions get super juicey
