Hey guys. I live in Yeppoon, QLD. I am fairly new to surfing so I was wondering what's your favourite brands and products? Stomp? Surf Organic? Ocean and Earth? too many to choose from. Cheers. Pat

It all works.

Get the nicest smelling one. If it doesn't tempt you to take a bite as you wax on its not worth getting.

Sticky Feet & Mrs Palmers... harder wax base coat, softer top-coat. I also tend to use a wax comb to roughen up from time to time...

s@x wax hands down. O&E wax is terrible, comes off after 5 mins of use. Sticky bumps is ok. But I always go back. As it says on the logo "for when your stick gets too slick"

Years ago used to get Killer Bees Wax from SOS in fremantle.
Hands down the best wax I've used.
Don't think it's made anymore.

I got 10 blocks for $8 off Sanctum during a sale a couple of years ago. 5 x 14c-18c & 5 x 18 - 22c was pretty happy with them. Then got some Mrs Pamlers on Ebay from surfstitch last winter during a sale at $1.70 each & grabbed 10 x winter wax...I just buy whatever is cheap. I always wear booties these days, so grip is never an issue. A nice smelling one is more of an issue for me these days, as long as its cheap....BTW I might sound cheap, but at least I buy wax & not bum it like a lot of my mates

Love this stuff ! Brought a box on SP's advice - thanks - stupidly gave / sold heaps away - as why would I need 48 blocks? Well because its so amazing that I wish I had kept every block for myself. Have 8 left.

I think that the measure of a surfer is never buying wax, just bumming it off anyone in the car park....

I had a mate as a grom who never had his own wax - he was always scabbing off the rest of us until one time when one of the boys came prepared and gave him a bar of soap.

I don't think I've ever laughed more than i did that session!

Always first in for a pub round.
Being the very average surfer that I am, I always have several blocks with me. (The inverse of the rule is also true)...
...in answer to Pat's question, I'm either a Sticky Feet or Mrs Palmer's devotee.

Cobra is right. I borrowed a board off a mate on a vicco trip and used his cream wax. It found its way from the board to my wettie, then onto my boardies and ended up on my wifes clothes after a load of washing. Horrible stuff
