a small chunk of the bamboo has came out of the centre of the deck of the board, is there an easy way to fix it?
Are you referring to a Timber tech model
Im curious on any more feedback from anyone who has a TT FW for some time, how is it holding up
Captain was it you that had a split in one of yours..
Rozza i damaged my FST model Dom on the side rails and did a average repair. The water gets into the timber like nothing so id get it repaired right the first time..
Firewire uses Super Sap Epoxy by Entropy Resin to make all of their boards.

Epoxy solarez
Don't use solarez here. Solarez needs sunlight to harden. It will not go off underneath the wood deck
Not sure where you are located but I took my timbertek to Ross at soul board store in Scarborough and he did a ripper job fixing it, not too expensive either
In regards to the timber tek Firewire, thought mine was a bucket of snot.
Collin Earle did a heap of repairs for me, under the fins it had worn through the resin and also damaged the wood a bit, no glass there.
Seems to be no glass on top of the wood at all, just that resin that is thin and brittle, it cracks very easily, on the nose it also just wore off completely from being put in and out of the board bag.
Had to check it and touch it up every session with sola res to avoid water damage to the wood(ugly discolouration and eventual rot that you have to dig out)
The board itself seemed structually solid and didnt ding at all, but the constant cracks and exposure of the wood
Hey Guys
Here's a option, have a lot of Timber surfboard guys using our clear epoxies. Made on the Central Coast NSW.

Hunter S is right, don't use solarez for a repair like this as needs the UV to hit all of the resin to cure, also most sun cure epoxies are brittle in nature with the UV additive they use, so if cracking already might not be the right thing to use.
