Hey windsurfing photographers.
There's been several threads about photography on here lately, and some pretty cool shots in the photogallery.
Also been plenty of ad-hoc caption comps etc.
How about we start a monthly comp for the best designed windsurfing desktop wallpaper, we could then all download it and have it on our desktops for the month.
just a thought...

I reckon they have to be photos tha have been taken from your own camera, not photos from windsurfing sites or from professional photographers yeah?
|
|
|
Yeah, thats what I meant.
Create your own wallpaper (could include your own personal logo etc.) and submit it for voting.
winning wallpaper ends up on all seabreezers desktops for a month.
might be a bit w a n k y, but sounded good when I thought of it

I've been using this one as a wallpaper at work for a while.

EDIT> ahhh, fudge it... you were too slow explaining the rules, for the record I didn't take this photo.

now if I could just convince someone that I took this....

probably get done for plagiarism now

Sounds like a good idea grumplestilts
Now if everyone just posts 'real' own taken photos it'll be good!
They don't have to be 'perfect' people, real photos are better anyway
(I don't have any sorry) but there are plenty out there (see photo section)

Fantastic pics guys,
BUT, what I was thinking was .... rather than just another thread posting pics, we could turn them into proper wallpapers.
i.e. size them to 1024x768 and add some words or logos or somthing.
I've hacked on of sflacks (sorry bout that) and also sorry about the rough as guts logo etc. but I was in a hurry.

yes, but we get brown as well. the day was a magic day, the water was really that colour and there were some very hot wave sailors at the wanderers meet. North Kirra is a gem.
i took that photo with a canon 350d i borrowed from the ozwindsurf team.

hmmmmmm, i realise these aren't wavesailing pics...
but I made some racing wallpapers (12 of them in fact) a few weeks back which you can see here:

yes, the resolution is an issue. my work comp is frickin massive and has a resolution of 1920x1200. when i put the images on my desktop at stretch they look bad.
so i'll be redoing mine to something bigger than 800x600. 1024x768 or bigger
