Took a screenshot of the GPS-Speedsurfing website and we rule!
Go Daff!
Go Mat!
Go Craig!!!
Mal W and Tony W are strangely missing from the GPS top 10 ladder despite having logged sessions (not sure why - perhaps the results from their urine sample's haven't come in yet and the RTK's are a bit suss about their suspiciously high posted speeds ).
Either way, it's great to see some of your sailing friends at numero uno and the ladder filled (almost completely) with Aussie flags!
Of course the Euro's will naturally complain about our proximity to the dateline and the fact we can post sessions onto a newly blank ladder before they're even out of bed, but let's not get bogged down in such trivial and petty technicalities eh?
WE RULE!!
Got a SMS at about dark - found on the far bank!
Also of note.... check out www.gps-kitesurfing.com/default.aspx - Alistair ranked no. 1!
It's a clean sweep!!
Aussies top to bottom....
Ain't it pretty?:
Heaven knows how long it'll last that way, so I figured I'd get a screenshot of it for posterity.
Oi, Huey; bring on some more wind so we can keep it the way it is!!
What I find the most amazing thing about this is the top 8 on the GPSSS for 2009 have an average age of 46.5years. Either this means two things;
1. the older you get, the faster you get, or
2. the older you get, the more money you have to spend on windsurf gear
Impressive effort I must say and this still leaves me 7 years to become a member of the 40+knots club (probably by then you guys will be members of the 50+knot club)
LOL Sausage. I reckon it will be quite a few years before there are enough of us sailing at 50 knots to be called a club!
hi all.,
awesome to think I was actually lowereing the averege age I thinks its just because we're too old to wavesail (well)
cheers Tony
